Hi Folks, welcome  to  our very own 2025 Species Hunt.. We’ll be beginning our hunt from the 1st of February 2025, closing on the 1st of February 2026. The rules, species list and handling guidance are available in the images of the purchase listing, they will also be tagged at the top of the Facebook group, and in attached documents for everyone’s reference on the WhatsApp group.

When entering the Competition your mobile number will be added to the WhatsApp group chat, this is where you will need to submit your Speicies, Your more than welcome to mute the chat on your phone, but we encourage competitors to check regularly to keep track of their own progress in the competition throughout the year. 

 

Now the important stuff. The prizes! We have managed to get 2 amazing sponsors, as well as us.

 

Most Species.

The winner with the most species submitted and identified on the 1st of February 2026 will receive 100% of the competition money, this will be a growing amount, with every entry the prize pot will grow by £5. We’ll post weekly throughout the year the total to date.

 

Longest Bag.

We have a very generous £50 voucher from Robz Rigz, this will be for the longest bag. We’ll calculate it on your measured fish images. Every inch counts 😉

 

Top Lady.

We have also had a donation from ShoreCast, this will be for the lady anglers in the competition, this will be awarded to the lady with the most amount of species submitted.

 

Juniors.

Here at Bennett’s we have donated a full LRF set up (rod, reel, braid and lures set up) this is for the most amount of species submitted by a junior (under 16s)

 

The competition is only £5 to enter, and £1 for your submission card. Every £5 we receive for entry in to our competition, we will enter in to the prize pot.
